How to choose the best refrigerated semi-trailer?

Refrigerated semi-trailers are one of the most important equipment in the cold chain transportation process. When choosing, you can usually start from the three parts of the trailer chassis, insulation box, and refrigeration unit:
1. Chassis selection
Generally, it is necessary to consider the type and quality of the transported goods and the volume of the insulated cargo box to determine the chassis tonnage, and at the same time, the chassis's carrying capacity, fuel consumption, emission standards, etc. should be considered; in addition, since the goods transported by refrigerated semi-trailers are usually not stored for a long time, although they are equipped with refrigeration equipment, they still need to be sent to the destination quickly. If there is a failure on the road, it is easy to cause the transported goods to deteriorate and cause huge losses. Therefore, the reliability of the chassis should be considered.
2. Box selection
The box of the refrigerated semi-trailer needs to ensure good sealing and thermal insulation performance. When selecting the box, attention should be paid to the water absorption, air permeability, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, etc. of the box material; and the box is required to have good temperature stability, and other properties cannot be affected by temperature changes.
In addition, different types of goods have different requirements for the compartment. For example, a refrigerated semi-trailer for transporting fresh meat needs to have a custom hook inside the compartment; for supermarket distribution, a multi-temperature refrigerated truck is required.
3. Selection of refrigeration units
Refrigeration units are divided into independent units and non-independent units. Independent units have a separate power source; non-independent units are driven by the engine of the car chassis, which is much cheaper than independent units. The selection is mainly based on transportation needs: for short-distance distribution between urban areas or counties, it is recommended to use non-independent units, which are cheap; for medium and long-distance transportation, it is recommended to choose independent units.
